PHILO, Ohio — The Electrics turned out the power on West Holmes’ season with a 49-40 win at the Power Plant on Saturday night.

Philo had not played for 14 days, and while the rust showed at times, the Electrics stormed out of the gates opening up a 9-0 lead less than five minutes into the game.

The Electrics struggled from the field in the first half, and committed eight turnovers, but their swarming defense forced seven West Holmes turnovers as well, and helped them to a 24-6 lead at the half.

The Knights used a strong second-half performance to remain in the game, but the result was never truly in doubt as Philo claimed the Sectional Championship.

Isaac Gill lead the Electrics with 13 points, as well as adding 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Trey Lutz, who received the rare start, added 12 points and Cody Butler chipped in 10.

Philo will now move onto the District Semifinals where they will face John Glenn. That game will be played on March 7th at 7 p.m at Muskingum University.
