Sheridan, New Philly heading to regional championship game

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It will be either Sheridan or New Philadelphia who will be representing the Zanesville region in the the state tournament.
The MVL co-champion Lady Generals won a competitive game with Cambridge at Zanesville High School 41-39 to move on to the regional title game. The Lady General lead 24-18 at the break. Cambridge battled back to close the gap to two points with seconds left to play. The Lady Bobcats had a jumper blocked by Rachel Cook at the buzzer that could of sent the game to overtime.
Sheridan is moving on to the regional championship game where they will face New Philadelphia Friday at 7 p.m. at Zanesville High School. The game will air live on Z92 Rado.
Cambridge finishes the season with an overall record of 23-4.
