Season comes to an end for Lady Generals in Regional Championship

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Sheridan Lady Generals saw their season come to a disappointing end after falling to the New Philadelphia 46-42 on Friday night.

In a back-and-forth game all night, the Lady Generals struggled to slow-down the Lady Quakers Aaliyah Currence. Currence scored 21 points to lead all scorers, but it was Josie Pry who scored the game-winning hoop with under a minute to play.

Sheridan had multiple chances to tie the game in the final seconds, but after Kendyl Mick missed, Rachel Cooke was unable to make the follow-up and two Currence free throws sealed the victory for New Philadelphia.

Mick lead Sheridan with 16 points on the night, and Emma Conrad chipped in 13.
