Alice Marie Pitcock

Alice Marie Pitcock, age 90 of Zanesville, died at11:30 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville. She was born Wednesday, October 12, 1927 in Zanesville the daughter of James T. Burgess and Alice M. (McLoughlin) Burgess. She was married to Edwin M. Pitcock who preceded her in death on Monday, September 27, 1971. Alice was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She retired as a school bus driver for the Zanesville City Schools. In 1947 she won Miss Repeat Performance Beauty Contest where she won a trip to New York where she was a model for Coca-Cola. Alice received the 2003 Miami University Grandmother of the Year Award. Her hobbies included; cooking, baking, college football and professional football especially cheering for her Green Bay Packers. She is survived by three daughters; Charisse Schrader, Cheryl Pitcock and Catherine Pitcock; two twin sons; Eric (Shari) Pitcock & Ed Pitcock; five grandchildren, Aaron Pitcock, Abbee Pitcock, Tyler Pitcock, Mikayla Pitcock and Brooklyn Pitcock, one sister, Theresa Ansel; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., Zanesville, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street in Zanesville with Fr. Jan Sullivan as celebrant.
