Mid-Ohio Food Bank changing locations for April

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Mid-Ohio Food Bank will be in a different spot than usual in April.

The food bank will be at West Muskingum Middle School, instead of the high school, Saturday April 7th. Registration for the Food Bank starts at 9:30 A.M. and people can start getting food at 10:00 A.M. Student volunteer Miranda Geis said she enjoys being able to make a difference in peoples lives.

“I like helping people and food is really important, since it allows them to live and survive,” said Geis.

She has been a volunteer for the past two months and will be helping out again on Saturday. She said getting to know the people is her favorite part.

“There was this one little girl who her birthday party was coming up soon and there was a unicorn cake there. And she was so excited when she got the unicorn cake,” said Geis.

Geis said she is looking forward to seeing another persons day being made by getting food from the Food Bank.
