Krista “Kristy” A. Mildenberg-Barnes, 1966 – 2018

Krista A. “Kristy” Mildenberg-Barnes, 51 of Zanesville, died peacefully at 7:18 PM, Friday, March 30, 2018, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born Thursday, April 21, 1966, in Zanesville, the daughter of James A. Mildenberg and Wanda J.(Barth) Mildenberg. She married John Barnes on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Kristy was a graduate of Rosecrans High School and was a legal secretary for many years. She was a true animal lover of all types, but especially her Shelties.

Kristy is survived by her husband: John Barnes of Zanesville; one sister: Erin Mullender of Casa Grande, AZ; one brother: Andrew (Tonya) Mildenberg of Phoenix, AZ; two nephews: Nicholas (Bethanie) Knight of Glasgow, MT and Gherold Mullender of Austin, TX; one great niece: Tenley Knight; one great nephew: Benton Knight; aunts: Robert & Gail Mildenberg of Casa Grande, AZ and Kathleen & Ron Frazell of Prescott, AZ.

Kristy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law: Gerald Mullender.

Per Kristy’s wishes no services will be held and a caring cremation has taken place. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sheltie Rescue of Central Ohio, the Muskingum Animal Shelter Society, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 in Kristy’s memory.
