27th Annual Coca-Cola Collectors Show Hits Zanesville
Collectors of one of America’s most well known brands are holding a sale and swap meet here in Zanesville.
The 27th Annual Coca-Cola Collectors Show, Sale and Swap Meet will be this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Ramada Inn. There are around 2,000 collectors in the United States. Organizers expect to have around 200 people attend the show and swap meet. Auction chairman, Bill Kuenhold, says there is a reason there are so many devoted Coca-Cola collectors.
"It’s an item that has been around for well over 100 years, it is an item that like so many items, that people collect whether it is knives or guns or whatever. It is an item that is easy to collect," tells Kuehnhold.
Also, Zanesville has a special connection to Coca-Cola.
"Zanesville has had one of the original bottling companies in the United States the Ludman family opened this up better than 80 years ago," says Kuehnhold.
Kuehnhold says there will be pieces ranging from a dollar a piece to items that are thousands of dollars. The event is open to the general pubic and free of admission.
