Job Fair at Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE – Ohio  Job seekers headed to Colony Square mall Thursday, April 12, 2018 for a job fair.

The fair, hosted by Ohio Means Jobs Muskingum County, ran from 2-6 P.M. Job seekers had a chance to talk with over 30 employers, interview, and even get hired on the spot.

“Talking with the employers that are here right now, they are very pleased with the amount of applicants that have come through, the interviewing that they’ve done, and a few of them have already hired on the spot, so we’re really excited about the turn out,” said Ohio Means Jobs supervisor Julie Metzger.

Metzger said being able to come to a job fair and meet with company representatives in person gives applicants a chance to be more than just an online application.

“So when you come to job fairs you actually get to speak one on one with an HR representative from the company and they get to talk to you and take time to learn a little bit about your skill set, so its more personable that way than just applying online,” said Metzger.
