John Glenn’s Hunter heading to Malone

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – John Glenn’s Madison Hunter is heading to Canton to play basketball at Malone University.

The decorated Little Muskies signed her commitment letter Friday afternoon at the high school. She said that she picked Malone over a number of different schools because it seemed to be a perfect fit.

“Malone felt like home. All the girls were nice and I sat down and got to eat with them and talk with the coach. She’s new and I liked her. We worked very well together,” said Hunter.

Hunter was twice named first team all-MVL and scored over 1,000 points during her career in New Concord.

She said playing college basketball is a dream that she’s had for a while.

“I started playing basketball in fifth grade in AAU. I actually almost got cut from the team. But I ended up progressing. All of my coaches have made me the player I am today,” said Hunter.
