Terry’s Tavern tree removal
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A tree, that fell during a storm onto a bar’s outside deck last week, was removed.
Co-Owner of Terry’s Tavern Tim Arnold said when he bought the bar there were two signature trees outside the bar on the Muskingum River. He said one of those trees came crashing down.
“This wind took it out. The high waters, a combination of the high waters and the wind took it out and collapsed on our patio and part of the roof area,” said Arnold.
Arnold said the cost to remove the tree and the fixes to the roof and patio will be over $10,000. He said the tree falling marks the end of an era. He and the other owners are selling the bar.
“It’s kind of a farewell to the tree and to the bar. We’ll be here probably another two weeks, two or three weeks, and we’ll be on our way. That’s the thing we’ll miss more than anything else, the people. This is a very giving community,” said Arnold.
Arnold said the sale is almost finalized and he doesn’t expect any issues in the sale to occur.
