Annual Zane Grey Family Day
NORWICH, Ohio – The museum season in Muskingum kicked off Sunday with the Annual Zane Gray Family Day.
People of all ages were able to head out to the National Road Museum for an afternoon of games, crafts, and a free tour of the Road Museum.
“We wanted to pick activities that spoke to all age groups,” said Director of Education Betsy Taylor. “So up on the hill we have some outdoor kinds of games, the kind that Zane Grey would have played when he was a boy. We had a sack race, an egg on spoon race, egg toss, jump rope and then we have some crafts in our classroom.”
Taylor said Family Fun Day is a great way to show off what the museum has to offer and hopes that people will visit again with friends and family.
“We want to showcase what we have here. We get a lot of compliments from visitors as they come through, and one of the things that they always remind us of is that we not only educate but we entertain,” said Taylor “So on several different levels you can enjoy this place.”
The event ran from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. and was free to attend, but donations were accepted. All donations collected will go back to the museum to help fund educational programs.
