Courthouse repainting project
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Courthouse will be getting a new coat of paint in the next few months.
Brian Brothers Painting and Restoration has signed a contact with the Muskingum County Commissioners. Brian Toopes said the painting should start at the end of May or the beginning on June. He said good weather is crucial for painting without any problems.
“We’ll be using a lot of man lifts, which the tallest one will be 150 foot man lift. Some 80 foot man lifts. Then just getting up there and painting,” said Toopes.
Toopes said he along with his company have painted countless buildings including the courthouse in Coshocton.
“We started painting at a young age and through high school and that’s all we’ve ever done. Our family, it’s a family business,” said Toopes.
Toopes expects the project to take between six and eight week. He also said he doesn’t anticipate any road closures during the time on the painting.
