Scottie soccer standout headed to Defiance

DRESDEN, Ohio — Another Tri-Valley Scottie has committed to continue their athletic career at the next level, as senior Ian Millfelt signed Monday afternoon to play soccer at Defiance College.

He was surrounded by family, friends, as well as the other members of the soccer team as he celebrated the next step in academic and athletic career.

Ian was a four year letter winner for the Scottie’s boys soccer team. In his sophomore season, Ian received second-team All-MVL honors. His junior year he again was picked for the All-MVL team as well as Honorable Mention in the district. This past season, Ian was named first-team All-MVL, along with the MVL Player of the Year. He was also the Division I District Player of the  Year, as well as second-team All-Ohio. Ian also received his team’s Leadership Award.

Congratulations to Ian on an outstanding high school career in Dresden, and we wish him the best of luck in the future at Defiance.
