John Glenn announces Woodard’s replacement

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Replacing a legend is never easy, but that’s exactly what TJ Mitchell will have to do.
A press release from John Glenn Athletic Director Mike Dunlap said that at a East Muskingum Board of Education meeting Thursday night TJ Mitchell was announced as the school’s new head boys basketball head coach. Mitchell will replace Greg Woodard, who coached at John Glenn for 19 years and took the Little Muskies to the 2016 DII state title. Woodard stepped down last month.
Mitchell has been with the John Glenn program since 2007. For the past four years he was a varsity assistant under Woodard. In 2015 he was named the District 12 Assistant Coach of the Year.
