ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Both John Glenn’s Karlie Zumbro and Sheridan’s Etan Tabor had big performances at the Muskingum Valley League track and field championships to help lead their teams to league titles Friday evening.

Zumbro, who will be running at Ball State next year, won the 100 meter dash  and both the hurdle events to finish with 38 overall points, the most of any female athlete. Her Little Muskies finished with 134 team points to share the league title with Sheridan.

Ethan Tabor of Sheridan put on an equally impressive show. On Wednesday he won the MVL title in long jump with a leap of 23’ 9″. That mark broke a league record that had stood for 32 years. He also won three track events on Friday to earn the most points of any male athlete. His Generals took the league boys title outright, scoring 179 1/2 points.

We’ll have the results of every event posted on whiznews.com as soon as they are available.
