Mistakes cost baseball Generals in district semifinal

ATHENS, Ohio – The Sheridan baseball team lost a close game Monday at Ohio Univeristy to Unioto in the district semifinal.

Sheridan’s Dylan Emmert pitched well for the Generals, retiring the first nine batters he faced. However, Unioto plated two runs in the fourth to take the lead. The Generals battled back to score a run in the final inning but couldn’t push across the game tying run and fell 2-1.

That ends Sheridan’s season. They finish with a record of 19-7.
