ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Registration is now open for the 26th annual Rosecrans Basketball Camp.

The camp runs from June 11-14 at Rosecrans High School and is open to anyone from grades kindergarten through high school.

Rosecrans head coach Todd Rock has been running the camp for over a quarter of a century and said they try to teach more than just basketball fundamentals.

“At the lower level we want to make well rounded kids. We talk to them about a lot of things. We tell them to listen to their teachers and parents and ask them who their role models are. We talk about bullying. It’s more than just basketball,” said Rock.

Rock said they typically have between 80-100 campers, both boys and girls. In addition to instruction from Rock and Rosecrans High School varsity players, each camper receives a t-shirt.

Rock said that getting athletes involved at a young age is important to future development.

“It’s like any sport. The sooner you can introduce them, and introduce them to the right techniques, the better. We’re going to show them things that can help them as they get older,” said Rock.

To register you can call (740) 408-1475. The cost to register is $50 for four days of instruction.
