Rojas Bond Set At $250,000 Dollars In Pot Bust

The man charged in connection with one of the biggest ever marijuana drug busts in Muskingum County appeared in court Wednesday.

44-year-old Prisciliano Rojas Jr. of El Paso, Texas entered a not guilty plea to one count of possession of drugs and one count of permitting drug abuse.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday February 19th Rojas’ semi-tractor trailer was pulled over by deputies on Interstate 70 near Zanesville carrying 921 pounds of marijuana.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says the street value of the pot is between one and two million dollars.

Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Rojas’ bond at $250,000.
