Trout Being Released
The fish will be biting this spring at 45 lakes and ponds across the state, including four local sites.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says it will be releasing more than 80 thousand rainbow trout starting in March and extending through May.
You will find some of these trout at the New Lexington Reservoir in Perry County, Wolf Run State Park Lake in Noble County, Cenci Park Pond in Fairfield County, and Rose Lake in Hocking County.
ODNR wants fishermen to know that there’s a limit of five trout you can catch and you need a fishing license. It costs 19 dollars and will be valid through February of next year.
