Kota Looks for a New Home

Our pet of the week loves to go for walks, car rides and is described as being playful by those at the Animal Shelter Society.
Kota is a 6-year-old female Sharpei/American Staffy. She needs to be in home with no other dogs or children. The shelter’s assistant director said since she’s out of the puppy stage there are some perks to that.
“Maybe their mannerisms are a little better. The potty training is usually there. A little bit more calm for your household. She seems to have a little bit of energy so I love her,” said Assistant Director Russ Denny.
Saturday, the Animal Shelter will hold an adoption event at Pet Valu. It’s the first of what will become a monthly event.
“We’re here to help the current pet parents, help find future pet parents for adoptable dogs and cats that are in need of a home,” said Store Manager Shane Cooper.
The adoption event at Pet Valu will take place Saturday from 11am-2pm. Pet Valu also offers a new pet parent guide for any new pet parent that includes coupons and an essentials checklist.
