A New “Buddy” for Your Home

We Lov Pets 3

This week’s pet of the week is looking to be your family’s buddy.

Buddy B is an owner surrender, Labrador mix. The Animal Shelter Society’s executive director said he’s a fun, friendly, family dog. They believe he’s between nine or ten months old, which means he’s full of normal puppy energy.

They say with a good exercise routine, it will burn off any excess energy and he’ll be more into training.

“Those first few days just let him relax, don’t put too many demands on him and then each day you’ll kind of figure out when he’s ready, when he’s starting to relax, when he’s starting to bond with you,” said Executive Director Jody Murray. “Then you can then start raising the bar of expectations a little bit.”

Buddy B will be just one of the dogs available for adoption at an event at We Love Pets. It coincides with the pet stores 18 year anniversary sale.

The day features free food, 100 goody bags, raffles to support the Animal Shelter and twenty percent off the entire store.

“It’s just a way that we can get all of our customers one day when we can give some free stuff away and really show our appreciation towards everyone that’s made it possible for us to stay here for 18 years and hopefully many more to come,” said Christine Hatfield We Lov Pets district manager.

The festivities at We Lov Pets run from 11am-3pm Saturday, October 6.
