Parents Make Free LifePrint Kit

A missing child is every parents nightmare.

Saturday at the Jeff Drennen GM Superstore in Zanesville, parents were able to make a LifePrint DNA kits made of their children.

"Just in the event if anything, god forbid, anything ever happened and your child became missing this would give the FBI nationwide the child’s information photo and DNA sample," says Joe Day the Jeff Drennen GM Superstore General Sales Manager.

The US Department of Justice reports an average of more than 2,000 children go missing each day. Having a LifePrint kit increases the chance of quickly recovering a missing child. Day says they are expecting anywhere from 200 to 300 parents and children to attend and the parents are happy for this free service.

"We are getting a great response, everybody is really thrilled that we are doing this for them," says Day.

During the child safety event, the Jeff Drennen GM Superstore also gave away two bikes and several donated gift cards as door prizes.
