Search Continues For Missing Men

Authorities are exploring all scenarios in the disappearance of of two 29-year-old Licking County men.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says Ben Davis and Ryan Hickey haven’t been heard from since late Tuesday night. Both men also have not showed up to their jobs, Davis at the Newark Wal-Mart and Hickey at Timbuk Farms in Granville.

"These two people were both employed, it is very unlikely, unlike them to not show up for work and contact their families and we feel yes something has happened," says Sheriff Lutz.

Their families say the men were last seen in South Zanesville at the Foxhole on Maysville Pike. Sheriff Lutz says they are searching roadways leading from Muskingum County to Licking County using a helicopter. They are also busy interviewing people who may have seen the two men.

"We had a lot of leads to follow-up on. Obviously there’s a lot of different things in these cases that you have to rule out and find out. So we’ve spent a lot of time trying to eliminate possible leads and talk to different people," he says.

The men were last seen driving in a Gray 1992 Honda Accord with Ohio license plate EQM4523. Davis is described at 6’2" and medium build. Hickey is approximately 5′ 5" and weighs 135 pounds.

If you have information on their where-a-bouts call the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 452-3637.
