Recycling Center Hires Third Person
A local county program will see a new employee.
Muskingum County Recycling and Litter Prevention will fill an empty spot after a former employee retired. Muskingum County Commissioner John Bates says the program needs a third person on it’s staff.
“We’ve had two guys out there for a good while, now we do have some work-release people out there that help,” said Bates. “Some of the inmates go out and help, but just two people out there mainly.”
Bates says the recycling center has seen an increase in recyclables coming in and needed to fill the spot quickly.
“They put three more trailers in Muskingum County. They’re getting a lot more increase in their volume out there,” said Bates.
Bates says there were 10 applicants for the job and four of those were interviewed. He says the employee should start work within the next two weeks.
