4-Year-Old in Poor Condition after Accident

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus says a four-year-old boy is in poor condition after an accident Wednesday night.

Lancaster Police Lieutenant Scott Cox says Drayden Saylor went on to the street and entered the path of a van that was traveling in the 400 block of West Wheeling Street. It was driven by 65-year-old Herbert Smith.

Drayden was initially transported to Fairfield Medical Center and then taken by Medflight to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
