Community Rallies for Bosco
Zanesville Police K-9 Bosco, is still recovering from bullet wounds at the OSU Veterinarian Clinic today. The clinic says Bosco’s condition is serious but stable. He is eating on his own and seems more alert. During his rehab today it seems he still has paralysis in his front legs. The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County says they are receiving numerous calls asking if they know anything about Bosco’s condition.
“Every time I turn around people are asking if I have heard how Bosco is doing. A lot of people that come into the shelter because we are so involved with animals and the community think that we know what is going on, so we have had a lot of questions about is he going to survive, how is he doing, things like that… so it is a huge concern with the public about how Bosco is doing,” tells Larry Hostetler, Executive Director of the Animal Shelter in Muskingum County.
The animal shelter has also donated to Bosco’s medical fund.
“The shelter gave a donation out of our “Heart Fund” to help cover the medical costs because I know they will be very extensive, you know, I think people are seeing in the papers and on the computers how to donate money and I really hope they are.”
