Genesis Celebrates Generous Donors

Tonight the Genesis Health Care System celebrated those who have generously donated to the hospital. The Good Samaritan Hospital also informed donors of the advancements and new technology now available at the hospital.

“Well we have a lot of different things going on. One of which is a recent national chest pain center designation that Genesis received just a couple of months ago and another of which is a new surgical robot. It is a state of the art surgical robot that is available for urological surgeries and general surgeries,” tells Paul McClelland the Executive Director of the Genesis Health Care Foundation.

The Genesis Health Care System is the first and only health system in southeast Ohio to have a fully accredited chest pain center.

“We received accreditation from the National Society for Chest Pain Centers, which means that we at Genesis meet or exceed a certain set of criteria when we treat patients with a heart attack,” says Dr. Abdulhay Albirini the Medical Director of the Cardio Catherization Lab.

Genesis says they are on the rise and proud to deliver the highest quality in health care to the community.
