Maysville Plays First Game In New Complex

The Maysville panthers kicked off their game tonight with a bang.

Fireworks and a dedication ceremony officially opened the new Maysville Athletic Complex. Even with a few delays during construction, the panthers were able to play their first football game of the season on the new field.

“The whole complex, it has taken about a year and a half maybe a little bit longer, again with the wind storm we had last year we ran into some big delays but other than that it has been pretty smooth,” tells Principal Louie Retton.

The principal says parents and fans are very excited about the new field.

“People are absolutely thrilled about the complex and the field the people of Maysville are very proud of this and really excited about all the events we will be able to hold here. Soccer games, track meets, invitationals, we are hoping football games, we are hoping for playoff games, things of that nature. We have got Junior High all the way up so we are very proud of this field.”

Convenant sports constructed the new facility.
