Chance to Be a Champion
Imagine being the national champion of miniature golf and having the chance to win $10,000.
It is possible and you will have that chance right here in Zanesville. The first Muskingum County Community Foundation Miniature Golf Outing will send two lucky winners to the national championship in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
“Every year they allow two people from each course to go to the national championship and compete for $10,000,” said Mitzel. “Our event, which will be held the 17th and 18th of September will come down to two people finally being selected.”
Mitzel says, although you have the chance to win money nationally and locally, proceeds from the event will benefit the Muskingum County Community Foundation.
“It’s for Scholarship Central for helping young people go to college in our community,” he said. “After the four way competetion there is a party at the Pioneer School which is now our home.”
Mitzel says you’ll play your first set of 18 holes anytime from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday September 17 and Friday the 18.
The two lowest scores will advance you to the Harris Cup National Championship.
