Sisterhood of the Red Hat Society

A group that tours the country is exploring the attractions right here in our area.

The Zanesville Muskingum County Convention and Visitor Bureau invited the Red Hat Society ladies up all the way from South Carolina.
The Red Hat Society is a sisterhood and are touring all the wonderful places in the area. The Zanesville Chamber of Commerce said the girls spend a lot of money in their travels and that simulates the economy. Red Hat Lady Mary Presley said they are having a blast.

"It’s just a way to get out and have fun Red Hatters are all about having fun music entertainment dining shopping they love to shop. A great way to get out and see the country and stimulate the economy," Presley said.

Presley said to be in the Red Hat Society you simply have to be over 50. The girls that are in town this week are all a queen of a chapter and are planning to bring their chapters back next year. Presley said she was excited about bringing the ladies here because of all the things she’s heard.

"Longaberger, The Wilds, I definitely want them to come back and see The Wilds and we’ve had some wonderful entertainment in the evenings," Presley said.
