Zanesville is Front Page News in Montana

Zanesville may be a small town, but it has a big reputation. So big, a newspaper in Montana ran a front page article about two Zanesville natives.

Lorinda Durfee of Zanesville was visiting a friend last week when she spotted the article in Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

“It was crazy because the whole article is about Zanesville, Mark Dantonio who graduated from Zanesville High School and Noah Joseph who graduated from Zanesville High School. Two different decades, they both are in coaching and both teams were playing each other on Saturday in Michigan at Michigan State,” tells Durfee.

She says her friends in Bozeman had never heard of Zanesville before. The article not only mentioned Dantonio and Joseph, but also the Y- Bridge, Longaberger Baskets and Blue Devil Athletics.

“It was a great article and to find it in Montana, on a front porch in Montana, on a Saturday morning was really crazy,” laughs Durfee.

Coach Noah Joseph said Zanesville is very similar to the small town of Butte, Montana.
