Muskingum University Raises Tuition
Tuition is going up $820 for Muskingum University students next year.
A 4.3% tuition increase is going into effect for the 2010-2011 school year. Muskingum University’s Vice President of Enrollment, Jeff Zellers, says tuition increases every year as the cost of operation rises. The 2009-2010 school year also saw an increase of 4.3%. Zellers says much goes to toward faculty compensation which is common for a private university.
Zellers says 35-40% percent of tuition money will go toward financial aide for students and financial aide allocations will increase with the tuition rise.
Tuition will now be $20,018, up from $19,190. Zellers says that is 1% lower than the national average for increases in private university tuition.
