Athens Man Indicted for Manslaughter
An Athens man was indicted by the Athens County Grand Jury today after a February shooting that left another man dead.
John Wayne Perry II was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count of handling a weapon under disability and one count of handling a firearm while intoxicated.
Authorities say in February Perry was intoxicated and discharged a weapon at a New Marshfield home, shooting and killing Donnie Putnam.
Perry is currently being held in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
