Man Injured in Explosion

A Cambridge man was taken by Med Flight after he was severely burned.

Shortly after 4:30 Monday, A 56-year-old man called emergency personnel to his home at 57569 Claysville Road.

According to New Concord Fire Chief Brent Gates the man reported an explosion near the backside of his home.

Gates says he was flown to the Ohio State University Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office, New Concord Fire Department and Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
