Zanesville Man Shot Near Good Samaritan Hospital

Zanesville Police are investigating an early morning shooting near Good Samaritan Hospital.

Lt. Bill Shaw says 19-year-old Joseph Schilling II of Zanesville was walking on Adair Avenue around 2:00 a-m when a man in a black mask and black coat shot him in the leg with a handgun.

Shaw says the victim could not offer any more details about the incident.

Schilling was taken to Good Sam Hospital and then transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where he’s listed in fair condition.

Lt. Shaw says the incident remains under investigation.
