Former KC Band Member Indicted On Sex Charges

A former member of KC and the Sunshine Band has been indicted by a Licking County Grand Jury on 16 sexual charges. Prosecutor Ken Oswalt says that 56-year-old Richard Finch of Madison Township is accused of engaging in sexual activity with seven different boys between the ages of 14 and 17. Oswalt says the indictment – which was actually delivered Friday – includes 10 counts of sexual imposition, two counts of importuning, three counts of compelling prostitution and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Oswalt says Finch offered money for sex to some of the victims. According to a Licking County Sheriff’s Office Press Release a juvenile reported having sexual conduct with Finch in Finch’s Cross Road home In an interview with detectives Finch admitted to having sexual conduct with the boy as well as multiple other teen boys. Finch’s next court appearance will be a bond hearing on Tuesday.
