Gus Macker Tourament June 5th and 6th

It’s the largest basketball tournament in the state and it’s time to get signed up.

The Gus Macker three on three basketball tournament applications will be available Tuesday May 4th.
Manager of Zanesville Downtown Association Dana Matz said they had more than 2,300 players come out last year and play in the streets of downtown Zanesville. He said it’s something players look forward to every year.

"Given all the success the city and the parochial schools have in basketball it’s something that people look forward to on a yearly basis," Matz said.

He says this year there will be new events.

"You’ll see some different things going on there. The special events area is where the players and families go in between games so they have a chance to do a foul shot contest, a three point contest, maybe a little bit of music going on there so really excited to see how that works," Matz said.

Matz said there will be prizes for the winners of the events. The applications will be distributed in area schools or you can pick one up at the Welcome Center.

They have to be postmarked by May 14th and online by May 17th. This year’s tournament is June 6th and 7th. For more information go to www.macker.com.
