White Sentenced to Four Years

A Zanesville woman is sentenced to four years in prison for child endangering.

24-year-old Heather White received the sentence Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court from Judge Mark Fleegle.

White was found guilty in March of two charges, second-degree-endangering children and third-degree-endangering children.

According to Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox, White’s 16-month-old step-daughter was hospitalized in July 2008 with multiple leg fractures and bruising on her face.

Haddox says White claimed the injuries were caused after the child fell from a couch. However, Haddox says medical experts testified those injuries could not have been caused by a single fall off a couch.
