Zanesville Gas Station Robbed

A suspect is under arrest for a Friday afternoon robbery in Zanesville.

According to Zanesville Police Det. Sgt. Ric Roush, around 12:45 p.m. officers were called to a robbery at the Valero gas station on West Main Street. A Valero employee reported he had been robbed by a black male brandishing a weapon.

The suspect fled on foot and Roush says 10 minutes after the robbery officers arrested 38-year-old Kevin Chandler.

Chandler has been charged with one count of second-degree-felony robbery, one count of fifth-degree-felony theft and one count of fifth-degree-felony possession of criminal tools. He is currently being held in the Zanesville City Jail.
