Maple Avenue Accident Injures 4

The Falls Township Fire Department says two adults and two children are taken to Good Samaritan Hospital after an evening accident.

It happened on Maple Avenue near Tim Horton’s.

Sergeant Jeremy Mendenhall of the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says 74-year-old Joan Weidig of Zanesville was traveling north on Maple Avenue and attempted to make a left-hand turn into the Country Fair Shopping Center when she was struck by 31-year-old Bryan Cannon of Zanesville who was traveling south.

Weidig and her two grandsons, 15-year-old Reisce Barnes and 9-year-old Rhett Barnes, were taken to the hospital along with Cannon for minor injuries.

Mendenhall says Weidig will be cited for an improper left-hand turn.
