Secretary of State Recognizes C.A.S.S.
Ohio’s Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner was in the area Friday night.
Brunner was at Hallowed Hills for the closing concert of the 2010 Creating Artists Stimulating Success, or C.A.S.S. Camp. The performing arts camp has had a free concert each night this week and Friday the students showcased their talents. C.E.O of C.A.S.S. Cassandra McDonald says they’ve seen a lot of success stories in the camp’s seven years.
"We have had a number of students that have gone onto college that have majored just from CASS camp, because they couldn’t afford individual lessons so they’ve come consistently and found their dream and followed it and pursued it," says McDonald.
Secretary of State Brunner says she came to the performance, because of her love for the arts and the new business and leadership element the camp added this year
"This is a wonderful program. I commend the people who operate the program, as well as the parents who are allowing for their children to participate. It will make a difference in those children’s lives for many years to come," says Brunner.
Brunner presented all of the camp’s participants and faculty with official state certificates for their hard work.
