Local Business Celebrates 100th Anniversary

One downtown business is celebrating one hundred years of service to the community.

The American Light Company has been at the same location on Main Street since 19-10. Many gathered outside the building Friday to celebrate it’s contribution to the community.

"It’s for our customers employees all our friends and everything that’s made us weher we’re at today in 100 years," John Stubbs President American Light Company.

The orginal owner’s grandson even flew in from New York for the anniversary. Stubbs talked about what it has taken for the company’s success.

"Service, knowledge, friendship, and a lot of hard work," Stubbs said.

Stubbs says they hope to bring in even more customers and continue to be a part of the community for a long time.
