Hit and Run Kills Zanesville Man

A hit and run accident kills a 25-year-old Zanesville man.

Columbus Police report that Eric Kirkbride was hit  and killed while working construction on Interstate 70 in Columbus near Route 33 around 1:30a.m Wednesday.

Columbus Police now say they have located and impounded an SUV thought to have been involved in the fatal accident. 

The driver kept heading west and has a busted headlight, mirror and fender damage.

Columbus police had I-70 Westbound at Route 33 shut down for most of Wednesday morning as they investigated the accident.
