Rabid Bat Found In Muskingum County

The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department reports a bat found in Muskingum County has tested positive for rabies.
 

The bat was found last week in Falls Townsihp.
 

Officials say a person did come in contact with the bat and is currently receiving a series of rabies shots.
 

 This is the first time rabies has been identified in a bat in Muskingum County since August of 2009 .
