Ohio Department of Development Announces Grant Money

The Neighborhood Revitalization Grant Program will be divvying up $3 million to 11 cities in the state of Ohio to help improve what the Ohio Department of Development is calling distressed areas.

The city of Zanesville is getting $225,000 for work in the East End Neighborhood. The main focus will be to install more than 10,000 feet of street paving material, around 1,500 feet of water lines, three water hydrants, 2,600 feet of sewer lines, and 15 manholes.

$260,000 is heading to the city of Malta in Morgan County. It will be used to construct park equipment, sidewalks, sewer lines, and street paving.

Noble County will receive $300,000 for the city of Caldwell. The money will help with street paving, playground equipment, 30 additional parking spaces, a shelter house, and sewer taps.
