United on the Square a success

Courthouse Lunch

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – There was a different lunchtime option for those downtown Friday.

United Way held their United on the Square fundraiser where three local food trucks were selling lunch by the courthouse. Community Impact Director Becky Clawson said there was a choice of Pucky’s Pit Stop, Domino’s, and Philips Homestyle Classics.

“United Way, just doing a fundraiser here at the Muskingum County Courthouse,” said Clawson. “We have some partners in the community brought their food trucks.”

Clawson said they saw lots of people through the lines and that all of the proceeds will go toward the United Way programs.

“We’ve had probably about 200 people through the lines so far,” said Clawson. “Heard from a couple of local businesses that this was a great lunch option for them that they don’t normally have.”

Clawson said they are grateful for all of the community support they saw today. If you were not able to make it out today but would still like to donate to the United Way, you can visit their website.
