26th Annual Festival of Trees

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A Zanesville holiday tradition is returning for its 26th season.
The Chamber of Commerce is holding their 26th annual Festival of Trees. Local businesses and organizations donate holiday decorations, for example, a tree or wreath, to be auctioned to the public. This is a chance to promote local businesses during the holiday season and support the Chamber of Commerce as well.
“It’s a great opportunity for the area businesses to come together and support the chamber. But in turn support each other so generally what we see is we see a business will have an entry and their customers, clients, friends will be bidding on that entry so it’s a fun day,” said Chamber President, Dana Matz.
The Chamber is expecting over 200 entries. In addition to entering a holiday decoration, a business can add an incentive to the entry. The incentives can be products and services that promote the business, tickets to an event, or gift cards. The live auction takes place on November 30th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and can be heard on WHIZ AM 1240.
“To support the services that we do, we also do a non dues fundraiser, again the Festival of Trees. It’s an event we’ve been doing for 26 years, it’s an opportunity for us to sustain what we do,” added Matz.
Applications are available on the Chamber of Commerce’s website http://zmchamber.com, or stop by the Welcome Center to pick one up.
