Black Friday 2018 at Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The busiest shopping day of the year is here, and many locals hit up the Colony Square Mall for good deals.

Colony Square Mall was closed for the first time in six years for Thanksgiving, but they opened at 7.a.m. for the Black Friday shoppers. Shoppers were able to enter to win a drawing for a $500 shopping spree. Between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. if they spent $100 or more they could receive a $10 gift card as well. Some shoppers enjoy Black Friday to get their Christmas shopping done early.

“Today, we just got out and got here. So we’re ready to go spend some cash,” said Juanita Wilson.

“I’ve had a lot of fun just shopping for my family, and just spreading the holiday spirit,” added Mason Buck.

One shopper comes to Zanesville because she feels that it’s much more laid back at the Colony Square Mall as compared to other malls.

“This is nice, and everybody is so sweet. You walk in the stores and you don’t have people shoving you around, and it’s just nice, it’s just really friendly,” said Lori Martin.
