Zanesville Trooper of the Year

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol has selected its Trooper of the Year.

Trooper Rich Lanning, who is a 17 year veteran of the patrol, was chosen by his peers at the Zanesville Post.

Lanning graduated from the patrol academy in 2002 as a member of the 138th academy class.

Sergeant Jeffrey Jirles said that Lanning’s experience and work ethic are worthy of the reward.

Prior to his assignment at Zanesville, Trooper Lanning served 6 years at the Athens Post.
