George E. Kackley

George Edward Kackley, 94 of Zanesville died at 8:40 P.M. Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence.

He was born February 13, 1924 in Zanesville the son of Clyde and Dolly Morrison Kackley.

George was a United States WWII Army Veteran and Lifetime member of the VFW. He was a proud volunteer at Bethesda Hospital for 32 years. He retired from Armco Steel after many years of service and enjoyed playing golf.

George is survived by his two children; Alan Kackley and Georgeanne Joseph; two grandchildren, Jennifer Joseph and Kris Turner; a sister, Maryann Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death In addition to his parents by his wife, Patricia Molnar Kackley and two brothers, Jimmy & Frank.

A caring cremation has taken place and funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Immediately following the burial a luncheon in honor of George will be held at the VFW, 1318 Putnam Ave. Zanesville, OH 43701.
